Eggs-cellent event

FLINT TWP. — The Central Church of the Nazarene, 1205 W. Bristol Road, will hold its annual Easter Eggstravaganza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19. This is a free event for families with children from newborns to fifth-graders. It will include games, activities, bounce houses, a journey to find Jesus, and more. Kindergarten Round Up for C-A Schools is this week

FLINT TWP. — Do you have a child who is eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall? If your child turns age 5 by September 1, 2016 please plan to attend kindergarten registration at the elementary school in your service area. Parent ed series offered

FLINT TWP. — Carman-Ainsworth Community Education is offering Parent University this year – a series of free parenting workshops designed for parents of children of all ages. The Parent University philosophy is that parenting, like education, is an ongoing and lifelong process. The third of four planned workshops is scheduled to be held from 6-7:30 p.m. March 23, at the high school. It will bring in a variety of professionals who will talk about their careers in Skill Trades and some available apprentice programs. Presenters will include the Genesee, Shiawassee, Lapeer Counties Skill Trades Council; General Motors; Mott Community College; Baker College; and Genesee Career Institute.
