Motorcycle Awareness Party set for April 9
BANCROFT — A.B.A.T.E. (American Bikers Aiming Toward Education) Region 20 is hosting a Motorcycle Awareness Fundraising Party. This is event is to help motorcyclists be seen by raising money for a billboard on I-75. The party is April 9, starting at 6 p.m. at the Bancroft Town Hall, 120 Warren Street, Bancroft.
The fundraiser is $10 per person.

Kidney Support group meeting on March 23
FLINT — The Kidney Cancer Support Group of Michigan will meet March 23, from 1:30-3:30 pm at the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, 302 Kensington Ave. off of Robert T. Longway Blvd. next to Mott College Tech Technical Building. The talk will be “Lifelines to Cancer Survival,” An Interactive Workshop. Join author, Cancer Strategist Dr. Mark Roby, along with cancer survivors Wendy Clem, Susan “Theim, and Marie Wilmot as they discuss unusual ways to increase survival times.

MCC to host career fair
FLINT — Mott Community College (MCC) has expanded the scope of its annual Criminal Justice Career & Information Fair this year to include the Social Work and Early Childhood Education degree programs.
The Spring Career & Information Fair will take place from 4 to 6:30 p.m., April 5, in the Ballenger Field House on MCC’s main campus, 1401 East Court St., Flint. This event is free and open to the public.

For those interested in careers in the high–demand Criminal Justice field, there will be more than 40 federal, state and local law enforcement departments and agencies from multiple states, eager to fill open positions and provide information on career opportunities. There will also be local and state social services departments and both private and public early childhood education employers on campus taking applications and providing information about careers in their fields.
Participants will receive career information, networking opportunities, a chance to brush up on job seeking skills as well as the possibility for interviews with employers on site.
