Exercise Your Brain at Mathematics Boot Camp
FLINT — Improve your math skills at Math Boot Camp this summer. Mott Community College’s (MCC) Science and Mathematics Division is offering a Math Boot Camp for current and incoming Mott students, to brush up on their math skills. “MCC students will benefit from a general review of mathematics, through self-paced review of Mathematics with individual tutorial support” said Todd Troutman, dean of Science and Mathematics. Mott students will have an opportunity to re-take the mathematics placement test on the last day of Boot Camp so that they may move into a higher level math class in the Fall semester.
“Math Boot Camp is designed for students who want a thorough review of fundamental math topics without having to take an entire for-credit class,” said Josh Illian, assistant professor of Mathematics, instructor for the Boot Camp. “It is a great opportunity for students who want to re-take their Accuplacer test, want a refresher before taking a math class or who would like additional help with math.” The Math Boot Camp will be offered August 8-11, from 1-4 p.m. Math Boot Camp is a non-credit class.
To register for one of the sessions, visit the Registration Office in the Prahl College Center on Mott’s main campus in Flint at 1401 E. Court Street. The fee is $50 (materials included). There is a class maximum of 15 students. — G.G.
