Mid-east festival coming next weekend

Senior center fundraisers

FLINT TWP. — A Parking Lot Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 pm. Friday, July 15 at the Flint Township/Carman-Ainsworth Senior Center, 2071 S. Graham Road. Variety of events at GDL

FLINT TWP. — The Genesee District Library is hosting a variety of family events during the month of July. The Flint Township-McCarty Library will hold Family Bingo on July 13 at 1 p.m. There will be prizes. McCarty Library will present “The Secret Lives of Skunks” on July 26 at 5:30 p.m. A live, de-scented skunk will be on hand and Laurel Zoet from Nature on the Go will show that there’s much more to skunks than their notorious smell. — R.S.

FLUSHING — The First Baptist Church of Flushing Is hosting a free event at Flushing Riverview Park, July 24, from 1-7 p.m. There will be free food, bands and a bounce house.

Fenton opens garden tour

FENTON — The Fenton Open Gate Garden Club will hold its’ annual Garden Tour on Sunday, July 10, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Featuring seven gardens in Fenton open to the public, with a variety of design: fairy, rural, suburban, country, heritage, island, and residential. Admission includes maps, garden guides, refreshments, merchant discounts, and raffle for garden bench. $8 advance tickets available from members and area merchants including Bordine’s in Grand Blanc, Gerych’s, Heavenly Scent Herb Farm, Holly Twp.
