Traffic shift for Bristol roundabout begins Saturday
FLINT TWP.— Beginning Saturday, Aug. 6, Bristol Road traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lanes, as the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) continues construction of a $3 million traffic roundabout on Bristol Road, adjacent to the northbound I-75 ramps and General Motors plant entrance. Access to David Street and the General Motors plant will continue to be maintained. Additional phases of construction and their expected traffic impact will be shared as the project progresses. Practice reading to a friendly, lovable and cuddly canine friend at the Flint Township-McCarty Library on Saturday, August 13 at 1 p.m. Certified Mid-Michigan therapy dogs will be ready to listen to stories and snuggle. Vendors sought for church Craft Bazaar
FLINT TWP. — The scholarship committee at New Creation Church of God, 3472 Lennon Rd., will hold a Fall Craft Bazaar, September 17, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Vendors are needed (crafts, retail, arts, baked goods, and services). Tables are $20 each. Vendor packets can be picked up at the church office Monday through Friday 9-4. Once Upon a Book, Happily Ever After kick off Aug. 12
FRANKENMUTH — More than 70 authors from all over the country will converge at the Bavarian Lodge in Frankenmuth Aug. 12-13 for the first ever Once Upon a Book and Happily Ever After Ball.
The fun begins Friday, Aug. 12 with the Happily Ever After Ball. Families have the chance to attend dressed as their favorite character, from Disney to Goth. General admission is $10 per person for the book signing. Children 10 and under are free.
