Free day for Seniors at the Genesee County Fair

GENESEE COUNTY — Tuesday, August 23 is Senior Day at the Genesee County Fair in partnership with the Senior Directors Association of Genesee County. Admission will be free with a parking pass available at local senior centers. The fairground is located at 6130 Mt. Morris Road, two miles east of Genesee Road. There also will be a shuttle bus service. A full day of activities are planned including vendors, entertainment, Bingo, a scavenger hunt, wagon rides, ladder golf and a Frisbee toss. Free coffee and donuts will be served in the morning but a sack lunch is recommended for later in the day. For more details and to get a parking pass, see Pam Luna at the Flint Twp. Saturday is Household Hazardous Waste Collection

GENESEE COUNTY — The second biannual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Recycle Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, August 20. Collections will be accepted at two sites: Lake Fenton High School, 4070 Lahring Road and the Flint East Water Service Center, 3310 East Court Street in Flint. Vendors sought for church Craft Bazaar

FLINT TWP. — The scholarship committee at New Creation Church of God, 3472 Lennon Rd., will hold a Fall Craft Bazaar, September 17, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Vendors are needed (crafts, retail, arts, baked goods, and services). Tables are $20 each. Vendor packets can be picked up at the church office Monday through Friday 9-4. Call 810-732-0500 for more information. The public is invited to come out and support this event as a shopper or vendor. All proceeds will go to the church Scholarship fund. — R.S.
