WFBA hosting networking meeting on Nov. 17

FLINT TWP. — The West Flint Business Association will host its annual Networking Meeting to give each member an opportunity to update other members about their products and services. There will not be a guest speaker this month. The group will meet on Thursday, Nov. 17 from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the Valley Family Restaurant, 5009 Miller Road. Non-members are welcome to attend. Fight Night coming to Central Church

FLINT TWP. — Are you ready to rumble? Fight Night. is coming to the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 12. Billed as a fun and humorous date night and relationship game changer, the event will be led by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott, a husband and wife team who are nationally known marriage mentors and relationship counselors. Fight Night is for couples of all ages and stages who want to improve their relationship. Tickets are $15 per person until November 5 then $20 leading up to the event. Carman-Ainsworth hiring playground attendants

FLINT TWP. — Carman-Ainsworth elementary schools need lunch/playground supervisors to assist students in the lunchroom and on the playground. Pay is $8.50 per hour. Anyone interested can contract the main office at any elementary school building – Dye, Randels, Rankin and Dillon. — R.S.

Holiday donations sought

FLINT TWP. — Donations are needed for the annual Bendle/Carman-Ainsworth Toy Giveaway. They will be accepting donations of gently used toys from now until November 30 at The Learning Community building, 1181 W. Scottwood Ave. They are always in particular need of gifts for teens, such as: CDs, iTunes gift cards, MP3 Players, books and video games. All items collected will be given away on Thursday, December 1 from 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at The Learning Community. Contact Malinda Baker at 591-7208 for more information or to volunteer. — R.S.

Concert tickets now on sale

FLINT TWP. — Tickets are now on sale for the Celebrate Christmas Tour with Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey, a concert presented at 7 p.m. on December 8 at the Central Church of the Nazarene.1261 W. Bristol Road. Grant is a four-time Grammy nominee and five-time Dove Award-winning Female Vocalist of the Year. She is joining forces with Gokey, a two-time Dove nominee, Milwaukee native and K-LOVE’s newly-named 2016 Male Artist of the Year.
