Life after dark at Sloan

FLINT – Join Science Alive and their live animals at Sloan Museum for a look at the amazing adaptations necessary for “Life in the Dark” at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Sloan Museum. Mannheim Steamroller

EAST LANSING – Mannheim Steamroller will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Wharton Center for Performing Arts. ‘Let it Snow’ show

GRAND RAPIDS – Grand Rapids Museum’s Chaffee Planetarium celebrates the season with “Let it Snow” beginning Friday, Nov. 25. The show features holiday music with visually enhanced animation. “Let it Snow” includes classics from Frank Sinatra and Chuck Berry to Burl Ives and Brenda Lee, with a finale by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Brandenburg Concertos

EAST LANSING – The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center returns to Wharton Center to present Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos. Part of the Center’s Classics Series, the performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the Cobb Great Hall. World War II exhibit

FRANKENMUTH – In concert with their 40th anniversary, Michigan’s Military and Space Heroes Museum will open a major exhibit commemorating the 75th anniversary of World War II on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The initial installment in the series will highlight early engagements in the Pacific Theater, including Pearl Harbor, Wake Island the Bataan Peninsula, the Doolittle Raid and Midway. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. – L.R.

Arts and crafts show
