FLINT TWP. — The Daddy/Daughter Mother/Son Dance for students at Dye and Randels Elementary Schools will be held from 6-8 p.m. on February 10, at Rankin School. Admission is $20 per couple plus $3 for each additional child. Serieux to headline GDL’s Black History Month brunch

GENESEE COUNTY — The Genesee District Library will present the 16th Annual Black History Month Brunch at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 11 at the Genesys Conference & Banquet Center in Grand Blanc. Part of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Genesee District Library’s Summer Reading Challenge for kids and teens. Tickets for the event are $30 each and can be purchased at the Genesee District Library’s Headquarters Branch, 4195 W. Pasadena Avenue, during regular hours, or online at www.thegdl.org. Church concert to feature Selah and Missy Robertson

FLINT TWP. — The “Blessed and Unbreakable Tour”, featuring the Selah gospel band and speaker, Missy Robertson, is coming to Central Church of the Nazarene, at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 16. General Admission is $15 and tickets to the artist circle is $20. Selah is an award-winning contemporary Christian vocal trio. Biker’s group hosting Valentine’s Day benefit

BURTON — A.B.A.T.E. (American Bikers Aiming Toward Education) Region 20 is hosting a Valentine’s Day Dance, 7 p.m. Saturday, February 11 at Consumer’s Energy Union Hall, 3505 Commercial Ave., Burton, The first 25 ladies to attend will receive a special gift. Admission is $10 per person. This event is open to the public. There will be food, music, dancing, mingling, fun, pictures, games and, BYOB.
