Old Newsboys’ Christmas sign-up starting soon

GENESEE COUNTY — The Old Newsboys of Flint will soon open enrollment in their Christmas Box Program which has been serving children from Genesee County’s low-income families for 87 years. Help needed for makeover of Whaley House

FLINT — Volunteers and collaborative partners come together to help bring joy to the hearts of the children at Whaley Children’s Center in Flint. Whaley Project Joy is a makeover project that began last spring with a group of volunteers getting together and planning on remodeling the main family room and all 42 Whaley bedrooms! For more than 85 years Whaley Children’s Center, a private non-profit organization, has been providing residential child caring services for profoundly abused and neglected children in the State of Michigan. Thanks to the help of the Zoie Sky Foundation the project has already begun with the remodeling of six bedrooms. Help is needed however to do the family room and the other 36 bedrooms. Whaley House open for tours
