Busy month ahead at the senior center

FLINT TWP. — The Flint Twp. Senior Center, 2071 S. Graham Road, will be a beehive of activity during the month starting with a Health Fair that took place on Wednesday March 1. Still to come on March 8 are a St. Patrick’s Day corn beef and cabbage lunch for $3; trips to the Flint Farmer’s Market planned for March 14 and 28 and the Vesela Kapala Polka Band coming for dancing from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 18. Tickets are $5 each. Also featured all month will be Mystery Bingo/Mystery Prizes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information, contact the center at 810-732-6290. — R.S.

GDL March calendar

FLINT TWP. — The Flint Township- McCarty Library, 2071 Graham Road, will hold a used book sale March 9 from noon to 4 p.m. Paperbacks are 10 for $1 and hardcovers are 50 cents each. The sale is sponsored by the Flint Township-McCarty Friends Group. The Genesee District Library Board of Trustees will meet March 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Headquarters branch. The meetings are open to the public.

Church hosting comedy, gospel show

FLINT TWP. — Mark Lowry’s “Diapers 2 Depends Tour” is coming to entertain you with Christian comedy and music, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 West Bristol Road. Lowry is a Christian singer, comedian, and songwriter. The evening also will feature the gospel music of Cana’s Voice, and Stan Whitmore. Tickets are available at or by calling 1-800-965-9324. Tiered pricing includes $17.50 each general admission for groups of 20 or more; $16.25 each for a family four-pack; $20 general admission, $30 for preferred artist circle seating and $50 for VIP tickets which includes early entry at 4 p.m. Admission is free for children ages 12 and under in the general admission section. Also, two tickets are free with the purchase of 20 group tickets. VIP tickets includes early entry at 4:00pm, preferred Artist Circle seating, an exclusive Question & Answer session with the artists, and a souvenir autographed lanyard. — R.S.
