Old Newsboys strike up some fun at bowling event

BURTON — Help provide Christmas gifts to needy children with the roll of a bowling ball. The Old Newsboys of Flint will host the 5th Annual Bowling Fun-raiser & Silent Auction Friday, March 17.

There will be two sessions: Session 1: 6:30- 8:30 p.m. and Session 2: 9:15- 11:15 p.m. The cost is $25 per bowler and includes two games with shoe rental, and a pizza and pitcher of pop for each team. Join us at B’s Bowling Center, 750 S Center Rd, Flint. Details: Call 810-744-1840.

Since 1924, the Old Newsboys have put gifts under the tree for more than 800,000 children across Genesee County.

Each box provides a sweat suit, socks and underwear, gloves, a winter hat, dental hygiene products, and an age appropriate gift. The program is funded through the annual paper sale, donations, and fundraisers like this. — G.G.

Come out to see middle school musical

FLINT TWP. — CAMS Theater will present this year’s musical “The Trials of Alice in Wonderland” on March 15, 16, and 17. It will offer great music, dancing, and a story that leaves audiences laughing and singing, featuring favorite characters like the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar, Mouse, Cards, The Red Queen, and more. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Senior Citizens and children under 4 are free. Church gospel show

FLINT TWP. — Mark Lowry’s “Diapers 2 Depends Tour” is coming to entertain you with Christian comedy and music, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 West Bristol Road. Lowry is a Christian singer, comedian, and songwriter. The evening also will feature the gospel music of Cana’s Voice, and Stan Whitmore.
