Church hosting comedy, gospel show March 25

FLINT TWP. — Mark Lowry’s “Diapers 2 Depends Tour” is coming to entertain you with Christian comedy and music, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 West Bristol Road. Lowry is a Christian singer, comedian, and songwriter. The evening also will feature the gospel music of Cana’s Voice, and Stan Whitmore. Tickets are available at or by calling 1-800-965-9324. Tiered pricing includes $17.50 each general admission for groups of 20 or more; $16.25 each for a family four-pack; $20 general admission, $30 for preferred artist circle seating and $50 for VIP tickets which includes early entry at 4 p.m. Admission is free for children ages 12 and under in the general admission section. CA Foundation fundraiser tickets for sale

FLINT TWP. — Tickets are now being sold for the third annual Carman-Ainsworth Education Foundation Silent Auction to be held Friday, April 28, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., fat Flushing Valley Golf Club & Banquet Center, 1124 E. Main Street, Flushing. This year’s honorees are Bonnie Haffajee (retired elementary principal), Benjamin Jones (high school band director), and Lisa Koegel (parent and new school board member)! Each is being recognized for continuously and unselfishly giving their time, talents, and support for the good of our students, families, staff, and greater school community. A buffet dinner will be provided and a cash bar will be available. Hundreds of valuable items will be offered in the Silent Auction. Library hosting 8th Annual Community Basic Needs Fair

GENESEE COUNTY — The Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Flint Public Library are hosting the Eighth Annual Basic Needs Fair in conjunction with Molina Healthcare and Deluxe Dental. The free public event will be held on Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library, 1026 E. Kearsley Street, in Flint. There will immunizations available, a Meal in A Bag food giveaway, and water distribution while supplies last. Participating agencies on hand to provide information and assistance, to date, include Walgreens, Flint Fresh Mobile Market, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Deluxe Dental, Hurley Community Wellness, Genesee Health System, Molina Healthcare, State Farm Insurance, Valley Area Agency on Aging, Alcoholics Anonymous, Wellness Services, Inc., Flint Crisis Pregnancy Services, Metro Community Development, Action Management Corp/ GST MI Works!, National Federation for the Blind, and Genesee County Public Health Department.
