Egg hunt and other upcoming church events

FLINT TWP. — Orpheus Choir of Olivet Nazarene University will perform in concert at 7 p.m., Friday, March 31 at the Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Road. Now in its eighth decade of annual performances, the choir represents Olivet Nazarene University at regional concerts in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. Its repertoire includes anthems, hymns, spirituals and contemporary compositions, representing different styles and periods of choral music.

The church also is getting ready for its annual Easter EGGStravanza on Sat, Apr 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Peak Building. 1205 W. Bristol Road. Fun events at district library

FLINT TWP. — The Genesee Valley Center Library at the mall will hold an Essential Oils class on April 3 at 7 p.m. Essential Oil expert Amanda Cooper will demonstrate how to use essential oils to improve health and well-being.

The Flint Township-McCarty Library will present Turn Your Treasures into Cash on April 27 at 6:30 p.m. Guests will learn how to mine their own home for sellable items to make extra money using eBay and other e-commerce sites.

The Genesee Valley Center Library will hold a Literature Book Club on April 11 at 7 p.m. The goal of this club is to make the classics fun to read, approachable and interesting.

The Genesee Valley Center Nonfiction Book Club will meet April 18 at 7 p.m. The group will discuss popular and stimulating books and enjoy friendly conversation. Monthly meetings are laid back and open to all opinions related to the book’s contents. Future books are voted upon by the group. — R.S.

Hamilton Community Health celebrating 35th anniversary

GENESEE COUNTY — Hamilton Community Health Network (HCHN). on April 2, will mark 35 years of providing comprehensive health care services to residents of the city of Flint, Lapeer and surrounding communities. To mark the occasion, Open Houses will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at six HCHN location are:

Burton Site, G-3375 S. Saginaw Street North Pointe, 5710 Clio Road

Dental North Site, 5399 N. Saginaw Street Main Site, 2900 N. Saginaw Street Clio Site, 4154 W. Vienna Road Lapeer Site, 1570 Suncrest Drive

Cake and coffee will be served, raffles held at 10 a.m. noon and 3 p.m. and tours provided at each site. Enrollment specialists will be available to answer health insurance enrollment questions and assist with scheduling appointments. The event is free and open to the public.
