“That Day is Coming” bus tour stopping here

FLINT TWP. — Tickets are not needed but a love offering will be received for a concert by the renown Collingsworth Family at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 18 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W Bristol Road. “That Day is Coming” is the newest full-scale studio project for the Collingsworth Family who have sung and played all over the United States (as well as internationally) into their 27th year of ministry. It includes their current national radio single, “Gotta get to Jesus.” — R.S.

FLINT TWP. — Carman Ainsworth Schools will be accepting School of Choice applications for the 2017-2018 school year as follows:

K – 5: May 16 – June 14

6 – 12: May 16 – August 18

Flushing Senior Center needs volunteers

FLUSHING — The Flushing Area Senior Center is looking for volunteers for a new program designed to offer homebound caregivers relief away from their care receiver for an hour or two on a weekly basis. The program will provide a volunteer in the home for companionship allowing the caregiver an opportunity to leave the home while their loved one is cared for.
