Volunteers needed for Flint Art Fair

FLINT — The Friends of Modern Art (FOMA) will celebrate the 50th Annual Flint Art Fair by donating of few hours of time June 10-11. Continuing a tradition of excellence depends upon volunteers willing to assist in several different areas that range from set-up to hospitality. The areas where we require assistance are listed below. Go to the website at and just choose the area(s) and time(s) you would like to work, enter your contact info, and click submit. GISD gets merit network’s Community Building Award

GENESEE COUNTY — Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) received Merit Network’s “Community Building Award” at Merit’s Awards Conference on May 17, in Dearborn. The Merit Community Building Award recognizes organizations and individuals that work to help enhance networking, technology and collaboration within the Merit Community.

Wellness event scheduled
