County to unveil transportation plan
FLINT – A Public Hearing will be held June 21, at 7 p.m. in the Willard P. Harris Auditorium, third floor, Genesee County Administration Building, 1101 Beach St., as part of the Genesee County Metropolitan Alliance meeting. This Public Hearing is an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the following items: a proposed amendment to the FY 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP lists federally funded transportation projects eligible for funding under Title 23 as amended, or Federal Transit Act funds. This hearing complies with the intent of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act. This process is also being used to meet the public input requirements of the transit Program of Projects. The proposed amendment is available for public review and comment. FLINT – The Genesee Intermediate School District is hosting a job fair today, June 15, from 2-6 p.m. at the Genesee Career Institute Innovation Zone, G-5081 Torrey Rd. The job fair will feature available instructional and non-instructional positions including Early Childhood Teachers, Associate Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Early Intervention Teachers, Classroom Support, Physical Therapists, Nutrition Educator Facilitator, Early Childhood School Nurse, Literacy Coach, Service Coordinators, Automotive Instructor, Therapeutic Services Instructor, Custodians, and Bus Drivers. — G.G.
