Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is Saturday

GENESEE COUNTY — A Genesee County Recycle Day is scheduled for Saturday, August 26 at Flushing High School, 5039 Deland Road, and another on Saturday October 22 at Bentley High School, 1150 N Belsay Rd, both from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Collections also will be held on both dates at the Flint East Water Service Center, 3310 East Court Street in Flint. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Recycle Day is set up several times each year to collect household hazard waste such as batteries, paint, pesticides, tires, smoke detectors, fluorescent bulbs and much more. Vendors sought for church Craft Show

FLINT TWP. — The scholarship committee at New Creation Church of God, 3472 Lennon Rd., will hold a Fall Craft Show, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16. Vendors are needed (crafts, retail, arts, baked goods, and services). Tables are $20 each. Award winning band will perform at local church
