Vendors sought for church Craft Show

FLINT TWP. — The scholarship committee at New Creation Church of God, 3472 Lennon Rd., will hold a Fall Craft Show, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16. Vendors are needed (crafts, retail, arts, baked goods, and services). Tables are $20 each. Registration forms are available at the church information desk and must be submitted by Sept. 11 Call 810-732-0500 for more information. The public is invited to come out and support this event as a shopper or vendor. All proceeds will go to the church Scholarship fund. — R.S.

September GDL Events

FLINT TWP. – The Genesee District Library Board of Trustees will meet September 18 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Headquarters branch,4195 Pasadena Ave. The meetings are open to the public. Other scheduled events for September include an Open Lab Computer Class from 2 – 3:30 p.m. on September 5, 12 19 and 26 and from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on September 7, 14, 21 and 28 at the Headquarters Library. Librarian Liz Kish will offer one-on-one help with computers and answer specific questions in the computer lab during these set times. All ages are welcome.

The Headquarters Library will hold a Genealogy class at 6 p.m. on September 12 Genealogy enthusiast Ruth Britting will teach how to use Genesee District Library resources to explore family trees.

A Book Club meeting will be held at 4 p.m. on September 27 at the Headquarters Library. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month and welcomes new members.

During a Maker Club at 5 p.m. on September 28 at the headquarters library, participants can explore and tinker with electronics like Little Bits and Makey Makey, Legos, wood, fabric, beads, washi tape, decoupage, paint and more. For ages 8 and up.

The Genesee Valley Center Library (Sears Wing) will hold a Literature Book Club at 7 p.m. on September 12. This group meets every second Tuesday to talk about literary greats. The Genesee Valley Center Library also will hold a Nonfiction Book Club on at 7 p.m. on September 19. Guests will discuss popular books. — R.S.

Award winning band will perform at local church
