Police hosting trick or treat

FLIINT TWP. – Flint Township Police will be handing out treat bags to all the little trick or treaters who stop by the police department, 5200 Norko Drive, during the week before Halloween and on October 31, said Lieutenant Jim Baldwin. Check the department’s website or Facebook page for more details. Township officers also will be participating in a free, public Trunk or Treat family fun event from 3-6 p.n. Sunday October 29, hosted by Genesee County 911 at the Michigan State Police Post, 4481 Corunna Road, Baldwin said. Peak Sports registering kids

FLINT TWP. — Registrations are being taken for Peak Sports, a basketball and cheerleading league for children in first through sixth grade, sponsored by the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Road. Cost is $65 per child. Peak Sports divides players according to ability and height, as well as practice availability and volunteer coaches’ schedules, to create balanced teams of similar talent. Sculpture exhibit at MCC

FLINT — The Mott Community College Fine Arts Gallery presents an exhibition of sculpture by nine artists working in the Flint and southeastern Michigan area, through Oct. 31. The Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Visual Arts and Design Center. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Free and open to the public.
