Lady Bobcats continue to shine in Cross Country

GRAND BLANC — The Lady Bobcats continued a season of great racing at this Saturday’s Saginaw Valley League Championships, held at the Cummings Center. Many of the athletes had standout performances, including Lola and Sophia Thomas, who claimed 1st (18:09) and 2nd (18:33) for the 3.1-mile distance. The varsity was rounded out by Samantha Shaver (6th, 19:34), Lydia Minzey (11th, 19:58), Kennedy Kuhlmann (19th, 20:25), Maya Youngs (48th, 21:50), and Samantha Wogaman (52nd, 22:15). The JV also had standout performances, with personal bests from Isabel Fowler, Arianna Tesler, Saafa Tahboub, and Philena Kelley.

Boys cross country finishes in 8th place

GRAND BLANC — The Grand Boys Cross Country team finished in 8th place in the SVL Conference Meet this Saturday. Austin Dodd and Drew Balow earned 2nd team All- League status finishing in 11th and 12th place. The Meet was held at The Cummings Center in Mt. Morris, MI. (10-19-20). The Grand Blanc boys returned five varsity runners for the first meet after a 14-day COVID -19 quarantine.

Lady Bobcats take down Midland Dow, Arthur Hill

GRAND BLANC — The Grand Blanc Varsity volleyball team picked up another home win on Oct. 13 against Midland Dow, 25-18, 25-19, 25-21. Remi Madison led the Lady Bobcats with 22 kills, two aces, two assists and 12 digs. Kate Walter had seven kills and one dig, and Allison Jacobson chipped in with four kills and two digs.

Grand Blanc also defeated Arthur Hill on Oct. 15, 25-4, 25-3, 25-8. Brianna Gervers led the Lady Bobcats with 10 aces and two digs. Ryleigh Wrinkle had three aces, two digs and 12 assists, Amiyah Clark added five kills, Julia Serafinski chipped with a kill and a dig and Micah Johnson recorded one kill with a block. — B.G.
