JAMES STIMSON, 82, of Davison, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020.
James was born in Goodrich, on April 14, 1938, son of the late Douglas and Alice (Caryl) Stimson. He married Sharon Miller on June 21, 1975 in Davison.
Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Jim was a lifelong volunteer with various organizations, he was a former 4-H leader, a 30 year member of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Posse and a second generation Oddfellow. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was an avid horseman. Jim was a caring, generous soul with a great sense of humor and loved by all who knew him.
James is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; four children, James (Karen) Stimson, Thomas Stimson, Dawne (Paul) LaBrecque and Tisha (Jeff) Garrett; daughter-in-law, Carol Pyland; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Joel (Corky) Stimson, Paul (Karen) Stimson, Caryl (Bethany) Stimson and Melvin (Karen) Stimson; two sisters, Bethany Schryburt and Delores (Dave) Douglas; many other close family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Stimson; and his brother, Ron Stimson.
Cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will be held on a later date.
