JACQUELINE “JACKIE” HAZEL HAXER, 88, of Davison, MI, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Jackie’s memory.
Jackie was born in Detroit, MI on December 20, 1932, daughter of the late Howard and Hazel (McKinnon) Haxer. Jackie was employed as a Sales Representative for the Johnson Rubber Company until her retirement. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison, MI where she sang in the Resurrection Choir. She was also an avid golfer, bowler and she loved to read. Her family and friends will cherish the fond memories they have of her delicious cooking, and of her boating skills as “Captain” of her pontoon boat.
Jackie is survived by nephew, Bill Warwick; niece, Lynn Warwick; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Hazel Haxer; dear friend of 54 years, Dolores “Lorrie” Dulzo; sister, Betty Warwick; two brothers, Edsel Hossack and Howard Haxer, Jr.
