FLINT TWP. — The Carman- Ainsworth Community Schools Board of Education received a formal letter of resignation from Lonney Jarnigin, Vice President, effective Aug. 9. Therefore, Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools seeks qualified and interested candidates who are residents of Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools to fill one Board of Education vacancy. Those persons interested in being considered for the appointment should provide a letter of interest and resume by Monday, Aug. 23, 4 p.m., to the Superintendent, Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools, Administration Building, G-3475 W. Court Street, Flint, Michigan 48532.
Jarnigin, who was re-selected as vice president of the school board in January, has become the second Carman- Ainsworth school board member to resign this year. Former Trustee Todd Miller, elected last fall, resigned from the school board on July 1 and was replaced by interim Trustee Waymond Beavers on July 27.
Jarnigin’s term is set to expire on Dec. 31, 2022. — B.G.
