All are invited to participate in Jazz Vespers — Flint’s longest-running jazz service. This is an informal experiential worship service in a coffee house setting, led by Dr. Quincy Dobbs, Minister of Music and Fine Arts at Woodside, who also developed the concept.
Dobbs brings his artistic insight to this experience, creating a spiritually uplifting experience through a combination of music by some of the area’s best jazz musicians and a selection of inspirational readings — classic to contemporary. The service begins at 6 p.m. and refreshments are served.
Everyone is welcome and there is no admission fee although donations are welcome Woodside Church, located at 1509 East Court Street, is next to Mott Community College.
