BURTON — Burton police arrested two Burton juveniles Oct. 26 in connection with the BB gun damage that happened along I-69 and Belsay Road.
The subjects were taken into custody on Burton’s north end around 12:30p.m. Friday, Oct. 26.
BB guns were recovered at the scene of the arrest.
Police did find BB pellets that had been left in the area of the pedestrian walk where the juveniles shot the BB guns.
Police responded to a 911 call Oct. 25 indicating several reports of vehicles being shot at at the area of I-69 and Belsay Road.
Lt. Mike Odette said the victims drove to their residence and filed complaints with their local police departments.
Citizens were concerned that the shootings were related to the I-96 shooting incidents that have been occurring over the last month in Oakland, Livingston, Shiawassee or Ingham counties.
According to Odette, the incidents were unrelated to the I-96 shooting incidents.
There were no reported injuries, however there were multiple reports of damaged vehicles.
According Odette, there were initially two reports of damaged vehicles and the number has grown to six in the passing days.
The juveniles were currently being held at the Genesee County Regional Detention Center.
Last Saturday morning the juveniles appeared in court.
