Schluentz, Walworth, Moore elected in Goodrich

ATLAS TWP. — In Atlas Township, Republican Shirley Kautman-Jones soundly defeated Democratic challenger Justin D. Folts in Tuesday’s general election race for supervisor.

Kautman-Jones garnered 3,678 votes to Folts’ 1,537.

Incumbent Clerk Katherine M. Vick and incumbent Treasurer Ann Marie Moore, both Republicans, were unopposed.

Two candidates sought the two available trustee posts: Barry M. June and Patrick Major. Both are Republicans and both are incumbents.

Three of five seats on the Goodrich Village Council were up for grabs this year.

The non-partisan race wrapped up with newcomer Melissa Schluentz as the top vote-getter with 522. Newcomers Keith Walworth and Sherry Ann Moore also won, with 491 and 418 votes, respectively.

They defeated Edmond Simeone, who received 413 votes, and James L. Moore, who tallied 352.

The victors will replace incumbents Shannon R. McCafferty, president, Tim Light, president pro-tem, and Tim Barraco.
