GENESEE COUNTY — Grab your favorite shopping buddies and start the holiday season together in the festive quaint glow of Crossroads Village. The annual Ladies Night Out event is a special one-night event offering shopping, crafts, and live entertainment in the Colwell Opera House, holiday lights throughout the Village, vintage rides and more.
“This will be our 13th annual Ladies Night Out,” said Hollie Marlett, the marketing assistant for Genesee County Parks. “And we normally have about 1,000 men, women and children who attend each year. It’s not just for women anymore, the whole family can come out. It originated as a deer widow weekend, but it’s grown into a fun evening for everyone.”
Crossroads Village will be teaming up with Flint Handmade to bring quality vendors selling oneof a-kind items to jumpstart your holiday shopping. Visitors can enjoy treat samples in the village houses, a free carousel ride, a photo-op on the train caboose and so much more. More than two dozen vendors have been confirmed for the event, offering products from art and jewelry to baked goods and soaps.
Back by popular demand is the popular make-it-and-take-it craft area in the Schoolhouse, along with food and dining. Black Forest of Frankenmuth will be offering dining options in the Mill Street Warehouse and the Crossroads Cafe. Or visit the Eldridge, Fox, and Buzzell homes for tasty treat samples. Guests are also invited to take a free trolley ride around the Village to get a sneak peek at some of the Village’s holiday lights. Pick up the trolley ride in front of the Mason Inn, at the Stanley Schoolhouse, or at the C.W. Parker Carousel boardwalk.
