Lady Cavs bowl past Flushing




FLINT — Carman-Ainsworth girls finished 12th in the Flint Metro Bowling Championships last Sunday at Richfield Bowl. The Lady Cavaliers posted scores of 782, 783 and 755 in the morning qualifying session, falling short of the top eight spots that advanced to the afternoon rounds.

Carman-Ainsworth’s boys’ team placed 15th in qualifying, scoring 858, 930 and 979 in the morning session. Parker Zellar had a 615 series on games of 194, 215 and 206. Quinton Burnett had a 277 game, Nick Davis bowled a 223 and B.J. Williams rolled a 206.

On Saturday, the Lady Cavs beat Flushing, 28-2, in a Big Nine Conference match at Grand Blanc Lanes. Quinisha Burnett bowled 245- 218.

Carman-Ainsworth will visit Davison at Rollaway Lanes Saturday. — D.N.
