ORTONVILLE — The Carman-Ainsworth girls’ soccer team got back on the field Monday, following spring break, with a road game against Brandon, in which they took an 8-0 loss. Seven of Brandon’s goals came in the first half.

The Lady Blackhawks got two goals from Sarah Buda and one each from Sam Bageris, Marisa Bone, Rachel Devine, Karlie Hoffman, Sophia Sebring and Elayna St. Armour. Sarah Abbot and Randi Janette each added three assists and Sierra Dickens added another helper.

Carman-Ainsworth returns to action on Friday at Saginaw Valley Lutheran. — B.P.
