Lady Cavs soccer heads into postseason

LAPEER – The Carman-Ainsworth soccer team embarks on its postseason journey on Thursday, May 31 at 5 p.m. After receiving a first-round bye, Carman-Ainsworth, 3-13-1, will face the winner of the Davison, 8-4-2, and Swartz Creek, 4-4-2, game, which will be determined on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

On the other end of the bracket, Flushing, 6-4-4, and Grand Blanc, 18-1, will face off at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The winner will move on to play Lapeer in the 7 p.m. semifinal on Thursday. The final two teams will vie for the district title on June 2 at noon.

Grand Blanc is the only Div. 1 ranked team in the district, currently sitting at No. 4.

The Lady Cavaliers have been led by Jasia Caldwell and Destinee Lester this season. La’Angel Eubanks and Taylor Williams have also split time in the net.
