— Carman-Ainsworth played in two Big Nine Conference golf jamborees in the past week, hosting one at Fenton Farms last Thursday and competing at Davison Country Club on Tuesday.

On their home course, the Lady Cavaliers carded 267 to finish behind Davison (168), Powers Catholic (178) and Flushing (201). Meghan Bordgering led the Cavs with a 49, Danielle Sims shot 60, Kelsey Christensen added 71 and Selena Johnson 87.

At Davison, Carman-Ainsworth totaled 278 to finish behind Powers (190), Davison (198) and Flushing (202). Borgerding carded 46, the third-best score among the 22 golfers competing. Sims added 75, Tanara Crawford 76, and Johnson 81.

The Lady Cavaliers stepped out of league play to take on Metro League member Holly at 3 p.m. today at Fenton Farms. — D.N.
