FLINT TWP. — The second phase of construction on Linden Road was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 14, according to a press release from the Genesee County Road Commission (GCRC).
The GCRC began reconstruction of Linden Road from Lennon Road to Calkins Road in Flint Township on Monday, April 17. This project is broken into four separate phases.
The first phase began 700 feet south of Corunna Road and extended north to Calkins Road, on the western lanes of Linden Road.
In the second phase, the eastern three lanes of Linden Road will be under construction. The west side of Court Street will remain closed until work is finished the week of June 19th.
One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open on the west side of Linden Road from Corunna Road to Calkins Road. Motorists are asked to be patient and allow additional time to navigate within the vicinity of the project.
The final two phases will involve all lanes south of Corunna Road to Lennon Road. Start dates are not yet available but the entire seven-month project is targeted for completion on November 10.
