FLINT TWP — The final leg of the Linden Road reconstruction project is underway.
Work began on August 19 on Stage 3 of the four-stage project, which began April 1 in a work zone between Corunna and Calkins Road. Stage one targeted the west side of that’s section and stage 2 targeted the east side.
Similarly, stage three, will focus on the west side of Linden Road from Lennon Road to Corunna Road. Traffic is being restricted to two lanes on the east side of the road.
The fourth and final stage will target the east side of the road and is scheduled to begin about September 24 and be completed by November 1.
Inclement weather delayed the start of Stage 3 from August 14 to August 19.
The seven-month, $4.8 million project is funded by a combination of federal and road commission matching funds.
Motorists are asked to be patient and allow additional time to navigate within the vicinity of the project.
