Local retirees honored by Mott Community College



FLINT — Mott Community College (MCC) honored 23 retirees at a dinner May 26 at the Holiday Inn Gateway Center. Retiring with more than 500 years of service amongst them, this year’s retirees represent every department from Health Sciences to Fine Arts, and Library Services to Workforce Development, and even include a married couple.

“We truly appreciate the many years of dedicated service our 2016 retirees have given the college, their commitment to student success has left a lasting impact on students’ lives and on the College,” said MCC President Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea.

This year’s retirees are:

• Andrea Blankenship, of Swartz Creek, Cosmetology faculty in Business with 20.3 years of service

• Thomas Bohnert, of Flushing, Art Faculty in Fine Arts & Social Science with 44.3 years of service

• Linda Burgess, of Bloomfield Hills, Nursing Faculty in Health Sciences with 20.3 years of service

• Charlene Clement, of Fenton, Nursing Faculty in Health Sciences with 18.5 years of service

• Cynthia Collins, of Owosso, Workforce Development with 10.7 years of service

• Connie Cryderman, of Grand Blanc, Nursing Faculty in Health Sciences with 26 years of service

• John Dempsey, of Millersburg, Art Faculty in Fine Arts & Social Science with 27.4 years of service

• Ann Freeman, of Ortonville, Counselor in Enrollment Management, Retention & Registrar with 18.6 years of service

• Shirley Fritz, of Grand Blanc, Sign Language Instructor in Humanities with 28.2 years of service

• Robert Howald, of Grand Blanc, Executive Dean in Student & Administrative Services with 10 years of service

• Desiree Londrigan, of Goodrich, Site Director Lapeer Extension Center with 31.7 years of service

• Paul Londrigan, of Goodrich, Coordinator of Business & Marketing in Business with 41.7 years of service

• Dianne Lundberg, of Davison, Culinary Arts Instructor in Business with 18.7 years of service

• Debbie Ocedek, ofSwartz Creek, Nursing Faculty in Health Sciences with 22 years of service

• David Panzlau, of Fenton, Clinical Coordinator for Respiratory Therapy in Health Sciences with 32 years of service

• Theresa Rumisek, of New Lothrop, Adjunct Nursing Instructor in Health Sciences with 23.3 years of service

• Billie Taylor, of Oxford, History Faculty in Fine Arts & Social Science with 17.6 years of service

• Charles Thiel, of Grand Blanc, Director of Corporate Services/Site Manager SLBC with 28 years of service

• Patricia Topping, of Flint, Computer Faculty in Technology with 17.6 years of service

• Michael Ugorowski, of Lapeer, Coordinator of Public Services in Library Services with 20.1 years of service

• Donna Wade, of White Lake, Nursing Faculty in Health Sciences with 9.3 years of service

• Patricia Ward, of Linden, Allied Health Program Coordinator in Health Sciences with 18.6 years of service

• Joan Wilkoff, of Huntington Woods, Dental Hygiene Faculty in Health Sciences with 19.6 years of service.
