The Flint Township Board lavished praise on its Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee for a beatification project at the township hall on Dye Road. The group did plantings all around the township municipal building including construction of wooden flower bed borders. Committee Chair Jim McClung gave a special thanks to the parents of township trustee Barb Vert who donated about $300 worth of plants. This marks the fourth year that the Parks and Recreation Committee has selected a target project for spending a Keep Genesee Beautiful grant. Previous year targets have included the Genesee Valley recreational trail and two vacant parcels on Corunna Road near I-75.
