Man arrested for bank robbery

FLINT TWP. — The Genesee County Prosecutor’s office is determining what charges will br brought against a suspect arrested following a band robbery in Flint Township, Jan. 22.

A suspect was being held late last week in connection with an armed robbery at the Chase Bank, 5312 Corunna Rd. Police responded to the report at around 3 p.m.

Police said a man with a beard, dressed in a tan jacket, blue jeans and a baseball hat with a gray hoodie over his head walked into the bank. He handed a note to the teller demanding money and then fled the scene in a dark blue GMC Yukon.

Officers later learned the man’s identity and he was arrested by Flint Township police officers, the Michigan State Police and agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

The suspect’s name has not yet been released.
