FLINT TWP. — One man was killed, and a woman was critically injured early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Flint Township.
Flint Township Police were called at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday to the westbound Interstate 69 ramp to southbound Interstate 75. According to police, Douglas Stull, 31, of Brighton was driving a Chevy Equinox going west on I-69 when the vehicle veered off the road. The Equinox hit a steep embankment before coming to a stop.
Stull died as a result of the injuries he suffered in the crash. Police said alcohol consumption is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
The lone passenger in the vehicle, a 26-year-old Chelsea woman, suffered critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The westbound I-69 ramp to southbound I-75 was closed for several hours. The accident remains under investigation.
