Margot Kaye (Brown) Pfeiffer

MARGOT KAYE (BROWN) PFEIFFER, 79, of Flint, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. A celebration of Margot’s life will be announced at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint designated to the Donna Thompson Citizens for Animal Rescue and Emergencies Fund.

To say that Margot was an animal lover may not be enough in describing her devotion to animals and rescue work. Since her youth, she has shown compassion for stray and injured animals, making it an avocation in her retirement. She especially developed a love of caring for baby raccoons. Margot is a graduate of Atherton High School and Baker College. Margot was an accomplished businesswoman who worked managing offices for many different businesses and ran the Youth Hostel on Mott Lake. She was also a great Mother and homemaker; teaching her daughter Michelle to can vegetables and fruit, growing beautiful flowers, leading Brownie troops, and being a hockey mom. Margot loved to laugh, loved Rock and Roll, and loved to have a good time.

Margot is survived by her daughter, Michelle (fiancé, Kenneth Lawless) Pfeiffer; son, Eric (wife, Cheryle) Pfeiffer; grandson, Devon Pfeiffer; and brother, Ed Brown. She is also survived by her beloved cats, Bert, Bailey, Boomer, Brooke, ET, Louie, Maggie May, Putter, Willow, and two kittens from her latest rescue, Prince and KitKat. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lois Ann (McNeill) and Edward Herman Brown, and by her sister, Lois Ann Rogers.
