Marion Crouse Instructional Center wins Genesee Valley Center contest

FLINT TWP. — The Genesee Valley Center held a Loud and Proud online contest on Facebook.

Genesee Intermediate School District’s Marion Crouse Instructional Center (MCIC) in Flushing beat out 17 local schools to win the Loud and Proud honor with 54 percent of the vote. MCIC was presented with a $1,000 donation during Genesee Valley Center’s Back to School giveaway on Aug. 27.

GISD’s Marion Crouse Instructional Center serves students with severe and multiple disabilities and is part of the county-wide special education service delivery system. The resources donated by Genesee Valley Center will support programs and services for these very special students throughout the coming academic year. The entire GISD family extends its gratitude to Genesee Valley Center for this generous gift.

Located in Flint Township, Genesee Valley Center is a 1,273,000 square foot (regional) shopping center with 130 stores including anchors Macy’s, JC Penney, Sears and Burlington Coat Factory.

Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. and Sunday from noon- 6 p.m. — G.G.
