GRAND BLANC TWP. — The 41st Annual Citywide Tribute Dinner honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will be Jan. 16 at the Genesys Conference & Banquet Center, 805 Health Park Blvd. Centered on the theme “Rise to the Challenge . . . if not now, when? ” this year’s keynote address will be given by Janice Ferebee, MSW, a Docent with the National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington, D.C. The dinner celebration starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. Keynote Speaker is Janice Ferebee, MSW, a native New Yorker now living in Washington, D.C., who is an author, consultant, docent, international speaker, and founder/Chief Woman Warrior of Ferebee Enterprises International, (FEI) a global female empowerment enterprise. The event is a fundraiser for the MLK Scholarship Fund which awards two $1000 scholarships to students at one of the sponsoring schools. Tickets are $50 per person.
