Maxine J. (Dipzinski) Thompson


 

 

MAXINE J. (DIPZINSKI) THOMPSON, 91, of Davison, passed away on July 4, 2020 at her home.

Maxine was born in Flint, on February 25, 1929, daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Borowiak) Dipzinski. She married Everett Thompson on October 15, 1955 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2008. Maxine was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Altar Society, St. Theresa Guild, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 267, VFW Auxiliary 4087, Does of Flint Elks 222, Daughters of Isabella Regina Circle 1095 and the Pedro Card Club. She loved golfing, bowling and working the elections.

Maxine is survived by her children, Kathleen Thompson, Janice Thompson, Mary Pavelock (Alex Boros), David Thompson (Theresa Webb); grandchildren, Jennifer Leask (James), Michael Pavelock (Christina), Nicole Pavelock, Sebastian Robertson and Brittany Robertson; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Dipzinski, Theodore Dipzinski (Betty); sister, Delores Gauthier; sisters-in-law, Judy Thompson, Kathy Dipzinski, Donna Dipzinski; and many other loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Casmer, Joseph, Dennis and Gerald; sister, Florence Crossen.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Medical Team Hospice staff for the loving care and compassion they gave Maxine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 267 or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Maxine’s memory.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial followed at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
