FLINT — The Mott Community College Art and Design program will host the 60th Annual Student Art Show May 11 through June 8, in the Visual Arts & Design Center on the main campus in Flint.
This exhibition, featuring close to 200 works by MCC students, showcases their creative pursuits in drawing, painting, sculpture, illustration, printmaking, photography and graphic design over the past academic year.
There will be a special opening night reception on May 11, from 6-8 p.m., which is free and open to the public. An award ceremony honoring outstanding student accomplishments in Graphic Design and Studio Art will take place at 6:30 p.m. during the opening night reception. The award ceremony will be juried by Greg Fiedler, of the Greater Flint Arts Council.
The Fine Arts Gallery and Visual Arts and Design Center hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and the Gallery is free and open to the public. Details: Call 810-762-0443. — G.G.
