MCC Fine Arts Gallery to kick of new academic year with Student Work

FLINT — The Mott Community College Fine Arts Gallery in the Visual Arts and Design Center will present an exhibition of work by Fine Arts and Design Students from the spring semester course Art 180-Art Practice and Production. Their work will be in the gallery from Sept. 4-18.

Students enrolled in the Art 180-Art Practice and Production course developed an individual studio art or graphic design project to complete under the guidance of a faculty mentor. This was an opportunity to investigate a chosen area of emphasis beyond other Art coursework requirements. While students worked independently, the class met on a regular basis for peer and faculty guidance and constructive feedback.

The Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Visual Arts and Design Center on the Mott Community College main campus in Flint. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Free and open to the public. Details: Call 810-762-0443. — G.G.
