— Mott Community College’s Northern Tier Center in Clio, 4082 W. Vienna Rd., hosts a new Continuing Education class, designed for people interested in creating their own website.
“Create a Website for Fun, Profit & Business” is scheduled for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 11 at the campus. No web development experience is required to take this course, which provides a step-by-step road map to easily create a website for fun, hobbies, profit or business. The course will also present easy-to-use, design tools that an person can use to build a basic site in less than 60 minutes.
Participants can also learn how to get a domain name and choose the best web-hosting company for requirements and budget. Advanced topics covered include such as how to get noticed by the major search engines, how to find profitable products to sell and how to get instant traffic using Google and Facebook Ads. Optional workbooks will be available for purchase during class for those wanting to dig a bit deeper into website design and marketing strategies for online selling.
