FLINT — McLaren Flint’s Case Management team is hosting its annual “Community Resource Day” on Thursday, Oct. 5. In these tough economic times case managers and social workers are an even more vital link between patients and the community resources they need for a range of health care concerns. These can include obtaining health insurance, mental health services, nutritional needs, in-home care, social security and so much more.
The Community Resource Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McLaren Flint-Ballenger Auditorium, 401 S. Ballenger Highway.
The event is free and open to the public.
Agencies that already have committed to participate are Genesee County Office of Senior Services, United Way, McLaren Homecare Group, Disability Network, GST MI Works, Love INC (Genesee County Churches), Valley Area Agency on Aging, Genesee County Commission on Aging, HIV/Wellness, Genesee Health System, Advance Care Planning, Patriot Ambulance, VA Outreach Services, The Oaks of Woodfield, Wellbridge of Fenton, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Medstar Ambulance, Carriage Town Ministries and Mid- Michigan Home Health Care. – L.R.
