FLINT — In an effort to recognize the role Case Managers and Social Workers can fill in the health care system, McLaren’s Case Management team is hosting its annual “Community Resource Day.”
The event takes place Oct. 18, the start of Case Management Week. In these tough economic times Case Managers and Social Workers are an even more vital link between patients and the community resources they need for a range of health care needs.
Representatives from a host of agencies will be on hand at the McLaren Flint Ballenger Auditorium , 410 S. Ballenger Hwy., Flint, from 1-5 p.m.
Agencies expected to participate include: Community Mental Health, Genesee County Free Medical Clinic, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Pregnancy Philips Life Line, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Genesee County Health Department, United Way, McLaren Joint Express, Hamilton Community Health Network, McLaren Diabetes Education, American Red Cross, Social Security Administration, Valley Area Agency on Aging, Regional EMS; Stat EMS, Patriot Ambulance, Center for Gerontology, Department of Human Services and Carriage Town Ministries. — G.G.
