Meijer makes donation to local Red Cross chapter

GENESEE COUNTY
— The American Red Cross Genesee-Lapeer Chapter is honored to announce that Meijer, the Grand Rapids, Mich.- based retailer, has made a gift of $250,000 to support local Red Cross chapters.

The gift will specifically support the work of the Red Cross Chapters located within the five state region where Meijer operates its 194 stores, including Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

“The American Red Cross is incredibly grateful for this generous gift of $250,000,” says Kenneth E. Vavra, Regional CEO for the American Red Cross Genesee-Lapeer Chapter, “We are deeply thankful to Meijer and its team members for all of their extraordinary work.” — G.G.
