The recent effort spearheaded by Davison Township Supervisor Tim Elkins and Red Carpet Keim Action Group Realtor owner Kenneth Duetsch to raise money for Davison’s Outreach East was a success. Through donations and sponsors they raised $18,546 for the organization, which helps provide food and bill assistance to local families in need.

“It says a lot about the community to generate that kind of money in a 30-day period,” said Elkins. “(Outreach does) a lot of nice things, they help a lot of people – it was great to be able to help out.”

Elkins, Duetsch and Outreach East Director Jan Lebert thanked the sponsors for all they did. Sponsors included: Tim and Connie Elkins, Ken Duetsch and Red Carpet Keim, Allen Funeral Home, Hank Graff Chevrolet, Garrison Ross Insurance, the Davison Kiwanis Club, the Davison Optimist Club, Jim and Carol Dowsett, Jan Lebert, Kurt and Deborah Dunckel and Dunckel Veterinarian Clinic, Joyce and Donald Lehman, Jack and Sandra Abernathy and Craig Stefanko (of DCC Construction).
