Motorcycle Club Ice Race benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters

FLINT — The Flint Motorcycle Club will host their 58th Annual Motorcycle Ice Race Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center, 3501 Lapeer Rd.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint and Genesee County. Funds raised support one-to-one mentoring services for local youth. The Flint Motorcycle Club has traditionally used this exciting event to advocate for the needs of children.

More than 2,000 fans are expected to attend the ice race which will consist of competition amongst amateur and professional riders vying for a cash reward. Attendees should expect to enjoy a showcase of adult and youth riding abilities.

Admission is $18 for adults and $8 for youth 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center and Ticket Master Outlets, 810-744-0580. The Ice Race begins at 7 p.m.

To kick-off the weekend, Scooter’s Bar and Grill will throw its Annual Pre- Ice Race Party on Dec. 7th, at 7 p.m. Eric Smith, owner of Scooter’s, is the recipient of the Big Brothers Big Sisters 2017 Joe Shovels Lifetime Achievement Award. The Flint Motor Cycle Club and Scooter’s Bar and Grill are long time supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint and Genesee County. Scooter’s Bar and Grill is located at 6004 Torrey Rd. Flint
